Do I Pay for Parking?
There is an hourly parking charge in museum-owned car parks. Tariffs are displayed in all car parks. All machines are card-only and you pay on exit. Income generate from car parking helps us to carry out our twin charitable aims of education and heritage conservation.
Is there a cash point or Bureau de Change in Ironbridge?
There is a free cash point in the Entrance Building at Blists Hill Victorian Town and at the Co-op in Ironbridge.
Ironbridge Post Office can be found in the Chemist in the Square - money can be withdrawn over the counter and there is also a Euro foreign exchange service.
Does the Annual Passport ticket really last for a year?
Annual Passport Tickets allow unlimited daytime visits to each of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums, during normal opening hours, for 12 months. For full terms and conditions click here.
Can I bring my dog?
We love to see dogs at Blists Hill Victorian Town but unfortunately our indoor museum sites are restricted to assistance dogs only.
At Blists Hill Victorian Town they’re welcome to visit with you so long as they’re kept on their leads. Sadly, we can’t let them inside any exhibits with food or our eating places.
What is there for my children to do?
During most school holidays there are family-friendly activities across many of the Museums. At Coalport China Museum and Jackfield Tile Museum you can get creative at drop-in ceramic workshops. Design and make workshops and interactive shows are held at Enginuity and there are themed drop-in activities and trails at Blists Hill Victorian Town. Check out the Events Calendar for full details.
Throughout the year children will especially enjoy a visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town where there are many family-friendly activities including a Victorian Fairground and Horse & Carriage rides in the summer. There’s a dedicated Family Gallery at Coalport China Museum with fun themed-activities. Enginuity is ideal for children of all ages with lots of interactive exhibits and games to engage children's interest.
Children must be accompanied by an adult whilst visiting.
Are the Museums suitable for visitors with disabilities?
Whilst all sites have some form of access for visitors with disabilities, some are more accessible than others. Please view more detailed information here. Alternatively call Ironbridge Visitor Information Centre on 01952 433 424.
Where can I stay?
There are many hotels, B&Bs, guest houses and campsites within a few miles of the Museums. You can visit www.discovertelford.co.uk or www.shropshiretourism.info for full accommodation listings.
What can we do if it rains?
The Museum sites are indoors, except for Blists Hill Victorian Town, which means there is plenty to see, even on a wet day.
How long does a visit last?
There are ten Museums to visit so you will need a couple of days to see them all. These are our recommended visit times:

Is there a discount for a group visit?
We offer reduced admission rates for groups of fifteen people or more. Group leaders and coach driver are given free admission. More details about group visits can be found here.
