Do you know a mini genius? We're calling for children aged 5-10 to show off their inventions this February half-term!
In celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), the museum is heading back to its historical roots by encouraging children to get inspired and create something new this February half term (Monday 17 – Friday 21 February).
The Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site is the beating heart of the Industrial Revolution and by launching this competition we really want children to understand the hard work carried out by our forefathers, and the reason we all live so simply today.
We’re looking for inventions of all shapes and sizes – the crazier the better! From home-made volcanoes to posters about the environment, we want kids to get their thinking caps on and most of all, have some fun in the process!
To enter the competition, we're asking for clever-clogs’ to submit their inventions via email or drop them off at Enginuity where they can use the design station and museum site as inspiration.
Each submission will be judged by the team at the Museums when entries close on Sunday 23 February, winners will be announced on Thursday 27 February and there will be an online exhibition of entries on this website.
