The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust latest statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
UPDATED – 12.30pm, Friday 20 March 2020
The safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors is our priority, with this in mind our indoor Museums and our shops will close at 5pm on Friday 20 March.
Blists Hill Victorian Town is a dog-friendly, open air site with a canal and woodland walk and we will continue to open it daily from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Sunday, whilst observing social distancing measures. To help people enjoy the fresh air there will be no admission charges to this site from Saturday 21st March 2020. There are contactless donation facilities on site if you are able to support us at this time.
We are also offering a take away service and a community food hub shop at the Furnace Kitchen, Coalbrookdale.
The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is an independent charity, funded by income from ticket sales, retail and café purchases, and parking fees. We’d like to thank all our staff, volunteers, visitors and suppliers for their loyal support and understanding in these unprecedented times. We are continuing to monitor COVID-19 Government advice and guidelines on a daily basis and will continue to update our website and social media.
We will also use social media and our website to share ideas and resources for things to do at home, post blogs about our collections and bring you stories and videos over the coming weeks.
Best wishes
Nick Ralls, CEO
