The Museum of The Gorge is once again ‘water-tight’ after the first of three rounds of conservation on this historic structure.

Funding from Historic England, a number of Grant Making Trusts & Foundations and Individual donations, made this important work possible; preserving this unique building for visitors to the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site for years to come.

We’re still fundraising for two further rounds of conservation, which will involve replacing the roof, repointing the brickwork and ultimately converting the museum into a Visitor Centre for the World Heritage Site.
