Terrific Transport
Speed, Sail and Soar on selected dates this Easter at Enginuity!
Did you know that the first electric car was made at Coalbrookdale in 1884? Or that special boats called trows carried ironwork made by the Coalbrookdale Company down the River Severn to Bristol to be taken all over the world? And that Lancaster Bomber wings were made next door to Enginuity? The first steam engine was built here, and we have part of the Golden Mile railway passing through our site!
Join one of our workshops to make your own boat, electric car or flying machine this Easter Holiday:
Make a Trow Boat. Build and design your boat and sail it along our waterway. Can you battle the wind to reach your destination? How much cargo can you carry before your boat sinks?
Electric Cars. Design, build and race an electric car. Will yours be top of our leader board?
Flying Machines Can you make a flying machine that will travel from one end of Enginuity to the other?
Suitable for all ages, children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
Activities vary from day to day and there is no need to book, just drop in. At busy times there may be a short wait.
Boats £1 per kit
Flying machine £1 per kit
Electric Cars £3 per kit
As with many of our workshops this Easter, this activity is free for Annual Passport holders.
